Looks like I haven't posted since last week's Friday Five! I am a bum!
1. What do you most want to be remembered for? Making people laugh, and making beautiful music.
2. What quotation best fits your outlook on life? "Life's a journey, not a destination."
3. What single achievement are you most proud of in the past year? Surviving my first year of graduate school, and not moving back to Florida before the year was up.
4. What about the past ten years? Getting my Bachelor of Music from Stetson.
5. If you were asked to give a child a single piece of advice to guide them through life, what would you say? Don't give up when times get tough. Stick it out, use your family, friends, and God for support; you will make it if you work hard, believe in yourself, and don't give up!

1. What brand of toothpaste do you use? I would have to check to be sure, but I think it's Colgate.
2. What brand of toilet paper do you prefer? Whatever is on sale and fluffy.
3. What brand(s) of shoes do you wear? Do you really want me to list all the brands of all of my shoes?? My sneakers are Nikes and Adidas I think.
4. What brand of soda do you drink? I'm not really a soda drinker. I drink cola when I have rum, but as long as it's Captain Morgan, I don't care too much what type of cola.
5. What brand of gum do you chew? Usually either Trident or Eclipse, but I'm not too picky. Sometimes I want to buy Bubblicious or Bubble Yum just for old time's sake.
Back In The Sunshine State!!!
It is so good to be back in Florida! It's so sunny outside!! I am not used to the heat yet, though. I'm sweating buckets! But that's OK. I love to feel the warm sunshine on my skin. I'm already starting to get my tan back. :-)
I took the auto train down here on Thursday, and arrived Friday morning. I was so worried that I would miss the train that I couldn't sleep Wednesday night, and I ended up waking up at 5:00 and not being able to fall back alseep. So I just decided to leave, and I got to the station in Virginia REALLY early. I had a couple of hours to kill, so I found a salon and decided to get my nails done. It was nice and relaxing after the drive, so that worked out pretty well. There was another lady taking the auto train who was at the nail salon too. I saw her later on the train. I thought the train ride would be long and boring, but it was actually fun. I met some nice people, and we ended up drinking and playing cards all night. They showed movies, and the food was pretty good. Chris met me at the station, and we went to Tampa to visit Ahmad and Alicia. We saw the Matrix Reloaded, but I was so tried from being up most of the night on the train (and actually waking up for the 6 AM breakfast) that I slept through a lot of the movie. It was fun seeing them, and we went to Busch Gardens on Saturday, and had a really fabulous time. We got the best picture of us on the Montu! The best part was we got passes for the rest of the year for the price of on day's admission, so now we can go back many more times!
It's good to be home. :-) All of you out there who said you'd visit better do it!!!

1. What drinking water do you prefer -- tap, bottle, purifier, etc.? I like water from the Brita filter. Tastes just as good as bottled, and it's cheaper!
2. What are your favorite flavor of chips? I like those Terra chips. yummy! I also like lime-flavored tortilla chips (escecially with guacamole..... yay avodados!)
3. Of all the things you can cook, what dish do you like the most? Oh wow, hard to choose! I like my black bean burritos that I eat all the time, my pizza, eggplant or chicken parmesean, and lasagna.
4. How do you have your eggs? poaches on toast, or sometime scrambles with a little bit of cheese
5. Who was the last person who cooked you a meal? How did it turn out? My mom made lasagna, and it was delicious!
Friday, May 09, 2003Just Another Reason to Hate Purchase
8:00 in the morning, on a Saturday, and they are outside my apartment mowing the grass with the loudest machine ever created. I have my earplugs in, a pillow over my head, and I can still hear this thing. EIGHT AM. I want to know what dumbass made this decision, and send a marching band to his house at 3 AM and crash some cymbals in his ear. Those of you in Florida, just stop before you make the comment that they are working outside early before it gets hot out. It may be MAY, but the hottest part of the day here will probably be a whopping 60 degrees (yes, that's Fahrendeit).

1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not? hahaha no way! I would love to be organized, and sometimes I try, but it just never seems to work out for very long.
2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly? No. Actually, I do have a pocket calendar in my purse, but most of the time I forget it's there, and I don't think to write in it. I don't even carry my purse with me all the time.
3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now? HAHAHAHAHA I am in the middle of packing right now, so it looks like a tornado blew through here.
4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter? Yes, believe it or not, I do. I like to be able to find things!! My CDs and records are alphabetized by genre (although that gets confusing with the classical ones... do I go by composer or performer??), my videos are alphabetized, and my tapes used to be, but most of them are lying around my car now.
5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize? My brain! Too much chaos inside my head!

Happy May Day
Well, Happy May Day everyone! Time to flip my calendar, approaching close to summertime! I can tell you for sure though, that this is the first time I have ever worn a turtleneck in May. It's been cloudy and in the 50s today, although right now with the sun peeking through we may be peaking up in the lower 60s. Woo hoo.
As a side note, I am very grateful for my allergy medicine working well, otherwise all this pollen would be making me miserable!
They caught the first female serial killer in Florida. Eight men. But she didn't kill them. She gained access to their homes, hid the romte controls, so they killed themsleves.
